North Carolina Waterfalls

This is the seal of Transylvania County North Carolina, similar to the road sign we saw that day.

North Carolina waterfalls are extremely plentiful and amazingly beautiful.  It's become one of our favorite places to hike so far...at least in the eastern United States.

In fact, on our first hiking trip to the Tar Heel state, we were overjoyed as we spotted the first road sign for Transylvania County, because it read, "Transylvania County...Land of Waterfalls".

We quickly fell in love with the state and her glorious outdoor scenery and activities.  It's definitely a hikers paradise!

North Carolina Waterfall Recommendations

While "Land of Waterfalls" is definitely a fitting mantra for the beautiful Brevard area in Transylvania County specifically, we've found that it applies to so much of western North Carolina, especially being the home of the most magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains.  Those mountains are absolutely teeming with trails, trees, cliffs, and of course...waterfalls!
